HARMAN Red 125 Film – 120 Format
HARMAN Red 125 Film – 120 Format
HARMAN Red 125 is a creative redscale film designed for medium format shooters who want bold, dramatic color rendition. By exposing the image through the film base and red-sensitive layer, it produces striking tones of red, orange, and yellow while greatly reducing blue hues and emphasizing deep, expressive shadows.
With an ISO rating of 125, this film offers a bright base layer, no anti-halation layer, and strong red sensitivity for a distinctive look with minimal speed loss. The final result can be shaped through exposure choice: more exposure tends to deliver finer grain and richer warm tones, while less exposure brings stronger greens, coarser grain, and heavier shadows.
Exposure Guide
- Underexposure: coarser grain, pronounced shadows, and subtle green tones
- Normal exposure: balanced grain, stronger orange tones, and softer shadows
- Overexposure: finer grain, higher contrast, and dominant red/orange tones
Processing and Scanning
This film is processed using standard C41/CN16 chemistry. No processing changes are needed when experimenting with exposure bracketing. As with other redscale films, the emulsion sits on the reverse side compared to standard color films. For best results, the film orientation can be reversed with a reloadable cartridge if required.
It scans easily on a wide range of commercial scanners. During scanning, digital correction tools can help reduce dust and scratches automatically for a cleaner final image.
Features
- Redscale color negative film
- ISO 125/22° for C41 processing
- Strong red, yellow, and orange color cast
- Creative effect that responds to exposure
