Designed specifically with video production in mind, the focus and aperture rings feature standardized gearing for use with follow focus systems. The de-clicked aperture ring allows smooth, precise iris adjustments while filming, and the engraved markings on the lens barrel are positioned for easy reading during operation.

Thanks to internal focusing, the lens helps keep framing more consistent as you adjust focus, reducing the visible effects of focus breathing. Its optical design includes 9 elements in 6 groups, with both an aspherical element and a hybrid aspherical element to help minimize aberrations. Multi-coating is also applied to improve light transmission and reduce flare and ghosting.
