Protective Modular Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3
Designed to add protection and expand mounting options, the SmallRig 4183B Cage is a practical solution for Sony FX30, FX3, and FX3A users who want a more versatile rig. Its modular construction combines a U-shaped cage with a detachable NATO rail, giving you flexibility while keeping the camera secure.
The top NATO rail is fixed with two 1/4"-20 screws and can be removed whenever you want to attach the original XLR handle. The U-shaped body is secured on both sides and at the bottom with 1/4"-20 screws to help prevent twisting, while a built-in pad helps reduce scratches. At the battery door area, a hinged arm follows the camera’s contours to improve comfort and support for your little finger.
A dedicated HDMI cable clamp helps keep your connection protected and stable during shooting. The cage also offers a wide range of mounting points for accessories, making it easy to build a compact handheld setup or a more advanced production rig.

- ARRI 3/8"-16 mounting points for compatible handles or monitor brackets

An integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plate on the base allows fast attachment to compatible tripods and DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, and RS 3 Pro gimbals. It also works with the DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 height riser plate setup and Arca-type quick release plate 3154, making it easy to move between support systems.
