SmallRig 5256 L-Shaped Mount Plate for Nikon Z5II
The SmallRig 5256 L-shaped mount plate is designed to make switching between landscape and portrait shooting fast and effortless, while also improving the camera’s handling. It attaches securely to the camera body with a 1/4"-20 screw and locating pins at the base, helping to keep the plate firmly in place. Protective silicone pads help guard the camera body against scratches.
Its modular construction gives you extra flexibility: the side plate can be removed, and the base plate can be used on its own when needed. Both plates are shaped to avoid blocking key camera functions, including the battery compartment, angled USB-C cable connections, and the 105° tilt-screen rotation.
For portrait shooting, the side plate extends by 21.5 mm to provide more room for cable routing. The plate also offers multiple expansion options, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, 1/4"-20 locating holes, QD sockets, and strap slots, making it compatible with accessories such as QD shoulder straps, microphones, and tripods.
Built-in Arca-Swiss quick release plates on both the base and side sections allow fast mounting on Arca-Swiss tripods and stabilizers. It is also compatible with DJI RS series gimbals, making it easy to move between handheld, tripod, and stabilizer setups. For added power options, separately available V-mount battery plates and V-mount batteries can also be attached.
A magnetic flat wrench is stored in the base plate, making installation and removal quick and convenient.
