Built for vehicle-based shooting, the SmallRig 5398 5" Electric Suction Cup Mount combines fast automatic attachment, live pressure monitoring, and versatile mounting options in one compact system. It includes an electric suction cup and a safety tether for added confidence during use.
The powerful motor responds in just 100 milliseconds, allowing the mount to lock in quickly with minimal effort. A built-in pressure monitoring system continuously checks the seal and automatically boosts suction if pressure drops below 75%, helping maintain a secure hold throughout your shoot.
An integrated 2000 mAh battery powers the mount for up to 30 hours and supports USB-C fast charging at 5 V/2 A. A full charge takes only 45 minutes, making it easy to stay ready for long shooting sessions.
Made primarily from durable nitrile rubber, the suction cup is designed to perform reliably in demanding conditions, from -25°C to 60°C, without deforming. The mount supports up to 40 kg in vertical or side mounting and up to 60 kg in horizontal mounting, offering strong stability for a wide range of camera setups.
For vehicle use, it is recommended to pair the mount with the included safety tether. Please avoid loads above 5 kg, keep vehicle speed below 80 km/h, and stay away from rough roads. Checking the attachment every two hours is also advised.
The aluminum alloy mounting base includes multiple connection points, such as anti-twist 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, plus 3/8"-16 ARRI-style mounting holes. This makes it easy to expand your rig with optional magic arms (SmallRig ID 3873, 3874, 3875) and other accessories. A protective dust cover is also included to help keep the suction cup clean when stored.
