Give your Canon EOS R1 added protection and greater rigging flexibility with this precision-fit full cage from SmallRig. Designed to wrap around the camera without blocking access to essential controls, it helps keep your setup secure while preserving smooth, intuitive operation on set.
The cage uses a three-point locking system, combining a 1/4"-20 screw on the base with two side locating blocks to help stabilize the camera and reduce twisting. Built-in silicone padding adds another layer of protection against scratches and wear.
For fast workflow changes, the cage features integrated Arca-Swiss quick release plates on both the bottom and left side, making it easy to move between landscape and portrait shooting while staying compatible with Arca-type tripods. The base plate also mounts directly onto DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, and RS 4 Pro gimbals for efficient camera-to-gimbal transitions.
A detachable cold shoe mount is included, allowing horizontal cold shoe positioning in either shooting orientation. The cage also offers a wide range of expansion points, including 1/4"-20 threads, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 ARRI-style mounting points, cold shoe mounts, strap slots, and QD sockets for building a versatile rig.
